I am interested in getting involved in coaching - where do I start?

That great - more coaches are needed to support people of all ages to participate.  If you are already involved in sport either yourself or through your children, a good place to start is by talking to coaches and the club or activity session. They should be able to get involved in helping on sessions and point you in the rigth direction to getting qualified.

Whether you are already involded in sport or not, you'll find lots of information to get you started in our our Become a Coach pages.

I want my children to get involved in sport, how do I know the coaching they receive wil be good quality?

Quality coaching means sessions are fun, enjoyable, and develop participants. For more information about what to look for in coaching sessions see our parents guide to coaching page.

What support is available for coaches?

General information about what is happening to support and develop coaching nationally and locally can be found the General Coaching Information section. Our Information for Coaches section provides more details of the support, training and opportunities available to coaches in the county.
